Facials FAQ

1. What is a facial?
A facial is a customized skincare treatment designed to cleanse, exfoliate, treat, and nourish the skin. It promotes a clear, hydrated complexion and targets individual skin concerns.

2. What skin concerns can facials help with?
Facials can improve acne, congestion, dryness, dullness, fine lines, aging, hyperpigmentation, sensitivity, and uneven texture. Each treatment is tailored to your skin type and goals.

3. How often should I get a facial?
For best results, we recommend a facial every 4–6 weeks, as this aligns with your skin's natural regeneration cycle. Acne or corrective treatments may require more frequent visits.

4. What should I expect during my first facial?
Your Aesthetician will begin with a consultation and skin analysis, followed by cleansing, exfoliation, extractions (if needed), treatment serums, massage, mask, and finishing products. We’ll also send you home with personalized skincare recommendations.

5. Are facials safe for sensitive skin?
Yes! We offer treatments specifically designed for sensitive or reactive skin. Your Aesthetician will choose gentle, calming products to avoid irritation.

6. Can I get a facial if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
Yes—many facials are pregnancy safe! We modify protocols and ingredients to ensure safety. Please let us know if you’re expecting so we can customize accordingly.

7. Do facials cause breakouts?
Sometimes, a facial can trigger a mild purge as the skin detoxifies—especially if you have congested or acne-prone skin. This is temporary and part of the healing process.

8. Should I avoid anything before my facial?
Yes—avoid retinol, exfoliants, tanning, waxing, and aggressive home treatments 48 hours prior to your appointment.

9. What should I avoid after my facial?
For 24–48 hours, avoid heavy workouts, saunas/steam rooms, sun exposure, exfoliants, and pore-clogging makeup. Your Aesthetician will provide clear aftercare instructions based on your treatment.

10. Can men get facials?
Absolutely! Facials are beneficial for all skin types and genders. For best results, men should shave the night before (if needed).

11. Will my skin be red after a facial?
Some redness is normal, especially if extractions were performed. It typically subsides within a few hours.

12. Do I need to bring my current routine to my appointment?
If possible, yes or at least a list of the products. It helps us assess what you’re using and make helpful suggestions without overwhelming your routine.

13. When will I see results?
You’ll see and feel immediate improvement in hydration, glow, and smoothness after one treatment. For long-term changes (texture, acne, hyperpigmentation), a consistent series is best.
